Three Lentil Oat Bread

This hearty bread rivals any multigrain bread, without the added preservatives from a store-bought loaf. Loaded with whole grains and seeds, this bread provides an excellent source of fiber and a great chewy texture, along with vitamin E, and heart-healthy omega-3 fats.

 

1 cup water

1/4 cup milk

1 Tbsp. grapeseed or alternative oil

1 egg

1 Tbsp. honey

1/3 cup Willow Creek Organic Three Lentil Mix

1 tsp. salt

2/3 cup toasted Willow Creek Organic Thick Rolled Oats*

2 3/4 cup 100% whole wheat flour

1/4 cup Willow Creek Organic Flax Meal

1/4 cup Willow Creek Organic Sunflower Seeds  

1/4 cup Willow Creek Organic Golden Flax Seed  or Brown Flax Seeds

2 tsp. yeast

 

*Cooking times can vary based on the batch size. 

Preheat oven to 350°

Activate yeast by adding it to 1 cup of warm water.

Put all ingredients into bowl.

Add activated yeast.

Mix dough, cover and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Preheat oven to 350°

Put dough in loaf pan and bake for 35 – 40 minutes.
